A Pilot Application of Weather Radar-Based Runoff Forecasting, Salt River Basin, Missouri.

Abstract

HEC has developed the program modClark to take a first step in the integration of spatially distributed watershed data into applied hydrology. modClark is based conceptually on Clark's 50-year-old unit hydrograph technique and uses Next Generation Weather Radar (NEXRAD) data and digital elevation models (DEM). This report documents an example application of the modClark modeling method on the Salt River Basin of Missouri.
