Wide Area Munition (WAM) Pallet MIL-STD-1660 and Rail Impact Tests.

Abstract

The U.S. Army Defense Ammunition Center and School (USADACS), Validation Engineering Division (SIOAC-DEV), was tasked by the U.S. Army Armament Research, Development and Engineering Center (ARDEC) to conduct MIL-STD-1660 and rail impact tests on the Wide Area Munition (WAM) pallet. This report contains the procedures, results, and recommendations from MIL-STD-1660, Design Criteria for Ammunition Unit Loads, and rail impact tests conducted. The final WAM pallet design successfully passed MIL-STD-1660 and rail impact tests.
