Abstract

The Detailed Analysis of Alternatives for the water medium (Water DAA) at Rocky Mountain Arsenal (RMA) is the final stage of the Water Feasibility Study (Water FS) and is a follow-on to the Development and Screening of Alternatives for the water medium (Water DSA) (EBASCO 1992). This document provides significantly greater detail than the Water DSA, incorporating groundwater modeling and treatability study results as well as performing additional statistical analysis of chemical data and an integrated analysis of all alternatives proposed for the soils, water, and structures media to ensure that they are compatible and work together to achieve the remedial action objectives (RAOs) (see Executive Summary Volume) established for RMA. The analysis of alternatives in this document was conducted according to U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) guidance (EPA-OERR 1988). p49
