The Operational Proponent for Information Warfare.

Abstract

How Information Warfare is integrated into the Commander in Chief and Joint Task Force staffs will determine its successful application in wartime. Three criteria are formulated: (1) inter-agency participation, (2) national approval for operations, and (3) a long-term studies program. Three models are analyzed: (1) Command and Control Warfare cell, (2)Joint Psychological Operations Task Force, and (3) Special Operations Component. The most suitable choice using the three criteria is to establish an Information Warfare organization similar to the Joint Psychological Operations Task Force.
