Technical Publication Transfer Using U.S. Lynx's Data. MIL-D-28000A (IGES), MIL-M-28001A (SGML), MIL-R-28002A (Raster), MIL-D-28003 (CGM). Quick Short Test Report.

Abstract

The purpose of the informal test reported, in this QSTR, was to analyze U. S. Lynx's interpretation and use of the CALS standards, in transferring technical publication data. U.S. Lynx used its CALS Technical Data Interchange System to produce data, in accordance with the standards, and delivered it to the AFCTN technical staff on a 9-track magnetic tape. This tape and the files contained on it are part of the SGML transfer demonstration being conducted by the Air Force CALS Test Bed (AFCTB). This is the first of 16 companies/organization participating in the test.
