Abstract

The purpose of the informal test, reported in this QSTR, was to analyze Lockheed Aeronautical Systems' interpretation and use of the CALS standards in transferring technical Raster data. Lockheed used its CALS Technical Data Interchange System to produce data, in accordance with the standards, and delivered it to the AFCTN technical staff on a 9-track magnetic tape. After the initial tape failed the evaluation, Lockheed Aeronautical System submitted a corrected 9-track magnetic tape.
