Gas-Phase Kinetics Measurements for Underwater Explosives.

Abstract

To aid in the development of boron-enhanced fluoronitramino explosives, the kinetics of individual reactions are measured over wide temperature ranges. The following rate expressions, in cu cm/ molecule/s, were obtained. For BO2 + H2 (right arrow) HOBO + H k(500-1250 K) = 3.6x10(exp -11)exp(-4198 K/T), for BO + CO2 (right arrow) BO2 + CO k(780-1200 K) <2.7x10(exp -14), for BO2 + CO (right arrow) BO + CO2 k(1000 K) < 6.0x10(exp -14), for BO + O2 (right arrow) BO2 + O k(300-960 K) = 7.9x10(exp -12)exp(161 K/T).
