Provision of Early Intervention and Special Education Services to Eligible DoD Dependents in Overseas Areas,

Abstract

This Instruction reissues DoD Instruction 1342.12, dated December 17, 1981, to implement policy and update responsibilities and procedures under Sections 921 et seq. and 1400 et seq. of title 20, United States Code, DoD Directives 1342.6 and 1342.13. It establishes a National Advisory Panel (NAP) on Education for Children with Disabilities, ages 3 to 21, inclusive, and a DoD Inter-Component Coordinating Council (ICC) on Early Intervention. This Instruction establishes a DoD Coordinating Committee (DoD-CC) on Early Intervention, Special Education, and Medically Related Services (MRS). It authorizes implementing instructions and forms.
