Synthesis of a Novel Indium-Nitrogen Cage Compound. Molecular Structure of ?NpIn(M-(NH)2C6H4!4(Np=CH2C(CH3)3).

Abstract

Reaction of the ligand 1,2-(NH2)2C6H4 with InNp3 (Np = neopentyl = CH2C(CH3)3) afforded the tetrameric compound NpIn(u-(NH)2C6H4)4 which contains five-coordinate indium centers having square pyramidal geometry and an overall approximate tetrahedral symmetry.
