Interaction of Drugs, Biologics, and Chemicals in U.S. Military Forces: Current and Future Issues.
Abstract
U.S. troops routinely receive a number of vaccines, including anti-malarial drugs, anti-biological warfare vaccines, and other vaccines. In addition, they may be exposed to other chemicals, such as insect repellents or environmental contaminants. Although the adverse effects of single products are relatively well studied, it is largely unknown what the effects of multiple exposures might be. This report addresses predicting, detecting, and managing the interactions of these agents among military personnel.
