Radioactive Waste Disposal: A Bibliography of Unclassified Literature,

Abstract

The purpose of the bibliography is to provide a source of information on various processes and methods of radioactive waste disposal. These methods can be categorized as follows: dilution and release into sewage systems and waterways where bacterial action eliminates radioactivity hazards; neutralization before release into sewage systems; concentration and storage; incineration; and dilution of radioactive gases into the atmosphere. It is believed that the information contained in these references will provide suitable background information and will aid in establishing criteria in the safe handling of radioactive wastes.
