Political and Economic Implications of Global Naval Presence.

Abstract

The study objective was (1) to explore and attempt to quantify U.S. Navy's value in maintaining economic and political stability in East Asia, the Mediterranean littoral and the Middle East; (2) to evaluate regional awareness of importance of overseas Naval presence; and (3) to outline and explore linkages between naval presence and American economic interests overseas.
