Task Assignment Plan (TAP) for ABACUS Execution Module.

Abstract

The budget development process must be responsive, flexible, and accurate so that the Aircraft/Missile Support Division can respond to questions and challenges from OSD and Congress. This requires analysts to report financial actuals in budget submissions, and to respond on short notice to more detailed questions concerning financial actuals. Currently, these actual data are available only in hard copy form, making data retrieval labor-intensive and error-prone, and decreasing the time available to perform analysis prior to meeting short deadlines. The inability to respond adequately to these questions could degrade the ability of the Supply and Maintenance communities to support the USAF's peace and war missions. With Synergy creating an execution module to Automated Budget Analysis/Centralized User System (ABACUS), these processes will become less labor-intensive and error-prone. The goal of this project is to provide analytical and programming support in developing an Execution Module to ABACUS. This module will populate financial actuals reported in DBOF Budget Submissions, and allow users to perform ad hoc queries. This document explains the goals, objectives, and technical approach of the task explained above.
