DoD Forensic Science Committee,

Abstract

This Instruction, issued under the authority of DoD Directive 5106.1, establishes the DoD Forensic Science Committee as a joint DoD committee under the provisions of DoD Directive 5105.18 (hereafter referred to as 'the Committee'); assigns responsibilities to the Committee for the review and resolution of forensic science issues of concern to the DoD forensic science community and its customers, the Defense Criminal Investigative Organizations (DCIOs), and the Marine Corps Criminal Investigation Division; and supersedes IG, DoD Memorandum, 'Criminal Investigations Policy Memorandum Number 1 - Forensic Laboratory Support to DoD', August 10, 1983.
