Abstract

The Third Edition of the Mine Warfare Plan: (1) Explains how U.S. Naval Forces will conduct mine warfare operations; (2) Assesses our mine warfare strengths; (3) Identifies capability shortfalls; (4) Outlines our initiatives for providing the mine warfare capabilities our naval forces will require in the 21st century. The Mine Warfare Plan also includes summaries of mine warfare technologies and the associated programs designed to meld these new technologies into the operational environments.
