The determination of uranium and thorium in ores and rocks of domestic origin has become of increasing importance, owing to the recent developments in atomic energy. The procedures given in this circular deal primarily with methods of analysis for pitchblende, carnotite bearing sandstone, shales. phosphate rock and monazite sands.
