Near Infrared Laser Dye Q-Switches.

Abstract

Fifteen dithiene complexes have been evaluated as near infrared dye Q-switches. Seven of them successfully Q-switched the neodymium 1.06 micron laser. Optical saturation studies on the dyes are reported and discussed. The high energy performance of bis (4-dimethylaminiodithiobenzil) nickel is described.
