A Determination of the Half-Life of Carbon Fourteen,

Abstract

Experiments are described involving the counting of an analyzed. and diluted sample of carbon dioxide containing C(14) in a Geiger counter of known effective volume. The value of the half-life is found to be 5589 + or - 75 years.
