Cyclin E, a Potential Prognostic Marker in Breast Cancer.

Abstract

Cyclins are prime cell cycle regulators and central to the control of cell proliferation in eukaryotic cells via their association with and activation of cyclin-dependent protein kinases. The overall purpose of this 4 year study is to use the altered expression of cyclin E as a diagnostic/prognostic marker and to investigate the mechanisms and repercussions of this alteration in breast cancer.
