Bar-Coding for Ammunition (Barcodering voor klasse V goederen),

Abstract

The application of techniques for automatic data handling as bar-coding can contribute to improve provisioning, storage and distribution processes. For this reason the Dutch Defense Organization is introducing bar-coding in the logistic process. The Production Department Ammunition of the Defense Organization expects some specific problems with the introduction of bar-coding for ammunition. To prepare a successful introduction of bar-coding, the TNO Physics and Electronics Laboratory performed a study to investigate bottlenecks and to propose solutions for them.
