Abstract

This is a collection of papers on the management of the prairie dog ecosystem for the reintroduction of the black-footed ferret. Ferrets are habitat specialists and dependent on prairie dog colonies for survival. Once widely distributed, the black-footed ferrets are now listed as endangered. This collection addresses prairie dog habitat and biology.
