Estimating Munition Consumption, Fuel Consumption, and Losses of Major End Items in a Theater-Level Campaign (CALAPER).
Abstract
CALAPER consists of a series of programs which compute munition and fuel consumption, and equipment losses base upon information from two computer simulations the Combat Sample Generator (COSAGE) and the Concepts Evaluation Model (CEM). Six automated methodologies are utilized to determine munition consumption. Materiel losses and fuel consumption are computed based on two different methodologies. The purpose of this publication is to document the methodologies and assumptions utilized in the process.
