Acute, Subchronic and Reproductive Toxicity of Quadricyclane Vapor on Sprague-Dawley Rats.

Abstract

The U.S. Air Force is currently developing High Energy Density Matter (HEDM) for use in advanced rocket propellants to improve their performance. An HEDM of immediate interest is Quadricyclane. Assessments were performed to determine the inhalation toxicity of Quadricyclane vapor. An acute 4-h exposure of male Sprague-Dawley rats to 5mg Quadricyclane resulted in complete mortality.
