Abstract

This Directive reissues DoD Directive 5200.1 June 7, 1982 to update policy and responsibilities for the DoD information Security Program under Executive Order 12958 and Information Security Oversight Office Directive 'Classified National Security Information,' October 13, 1995; replaces DoD Instructions 5230.21 and 0-5230.22 and DoD Directive 5200.12; and continues to authorize the publication of DoD 5200.1-R, in accordance with DoD 5025.1-M.
