Abstract

The Reserve Forces Policy Board Annual Report for Fiscal Year 1996 is provided to the President in compliance with Title 10, United States Code, Section 113(c)(3). In this report, the Board has reviewed the progress that has been made by the Department in improving the accessibility and readiness of the Reserve components, and has identified areas where, in the Board's judgment, further improvements are required to make the Reserve components more effective members of the Total Force. The report also describes the bridges the Reserve components are building to support jointness and integration as we approach the 21st century.
