Digital Optical Computing.

Abstract

This effort examined the use of Dammann gratings for optical interconnects within hybrid optoelectronic or all-optical computers. In the effort Genetic algorithm codes were developed in C + +. Extensive optimization runs were performed to explore the Genetic algorithm parameter space in the design of efficient Dammann grating devices. Several grating masks were then fabricated using image setting technology.
