A Review of the Insect Immune System and Evidence for Fad-Glucose Dehydrogenase in Hemocytes of the Mosquito Aedes Aegypti.

Abstract

The work in this thesis attempts to identify and characterize GLD in the hemocytes of the mosquito Aedes Aegypti. To my knowledge this is the first report of the localization of a specific immune system enzyme in a mosquito hemocyte.
