Gene Therapy of Human Breast Cancer

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to develop an autologous breast cancer vaccine whose immunogenicity we hypothesize will be significantly enhanced by the ectopic expression of the human T cell co-stimulatory molecule, B7-1. In the past year, the feasibility of short-term culture of human breast cancer cells harvested from metastatic sites has been clearly demonstrated.
