Semaphore Field Phase Support.

Abstract

Our aim is to improve the understanding of the processes determining the turbulent and radiative fluxes at the sea surface, particularly their dependence on sea state and on mesoscale structures in the planetary boundary layer. The objective of the work carried under this grant is to measure in detail the major parameters needed (i) to explain the variability of the turbulent air sea fluxes of momentum, heat and water vapor with sea state and mesoscale boundary layer structures, and (ii) to test the flux-gradient relations.
