Abstract

This multi-study, programmatic project was directed to understanding the effects of the stress of combat, trauma, and extreme environments on women's health and performance. The following deliverables resulted from the study and are attached as appendices: (1-4) Gender Stress and Coping in the U.S. Military: Vol 1: Trauma, Stress, and Health: Military Women in Combat, Deployment, & Contingency Operations; Vol II: Historical Perspectives on Acculturation, Deployment & Contingency Stresses; Vol III: Performance; Vol IV: Training, Deployment, and Contingency Stressors; (5) Sex Differences, Stress, and Military Readiness. (6) Stress and Women's Health Computerized Database User's Manual & CD-ROM. (7) Stress, Health & Performance in Military Women. (8) Recommendations
