Verkennende studie naar de besturing van de kringloop van repareerbare reservedelen van de Koninklijke Landmacht (Exploratory Study Into the Management of the Cycle of Repairable Spare Parts of the Royal Netherlands Army),

Abstract

Commissioned by the Royal Netherlands Army, a study has been carried out into the management of the cycle of repairable spare parts. A general control model for the cycle has been made including performance indicators. Besides that a framework has been developed for determining order levels and quantities on economical grounds. A comparison is made with currently used stock rules, by means of a simulation model. Also the effects of the repair process driven by either supply or demand and the dealing with war safety stocks are inquired in simulations. Several other issues are analysed, partly with the use of spreadsheet models.
