Geavanceerde oplaadbare batterijen. Eindrapport fase 1 (Advanced Rechargeable Batteries, Final Report Phase 1).

Abstract

With respect to more efficient electrical energy supply on ships, storage systems like rechargeable batteries are an important issue. Acting from an increasing need and higher, more specific, requirements for these storage systems, extensive research in a wide area on this field is conducted on an international scale. To stay informed on these developments and for being able to make a selection of a battery for certain purposes, these developments need to be followed at close range. Therefore the discussed project was initiated. A phased plan has been proposed for a timespan of 5 years with the target: to be able to make an educated judgement about battery systems considered to be used within the Royal Netherlands Navy. In this report a summary is presented of phase 1 of the project which mainly had an orientating character.
