USAWC Into the Future: Survey of General Officers.

Abstract

A survey of Army General Officers was conducted between October 1995 to March 1996. The purpose of the survey was to gather information on how well USAWC prepared its graduates on 25 broad educational objectives. The data indicated that the Generals felt USAWC graduates are well prepared for senior officer positions and responsibilities. They were also asked to envision the senior officer environment in the year 2010, and the skills/knowledge senior officers will need to function in that future strategic environment, as well as specific suggestions to improve the strategic arts curriculum and continuing education. The information the General Officers provided will be used in designing and tailoring USAWC curriculum in a proactive manner to ensure that USAWC graduates are well prepared to meet the requirements of the future.
