Depression in the Primary Care Setting: Clinical Note.
Abstract
The diagnosis of depression is associated with a high degree of morbidity, mortality, and economic cost. Thus, depression needs to be accurately diagnosed and documented by primary health care providers in the managed care environment. The Family Medicine Center, an ambulatory care residency clinic, undertook a continuous quality improvement (CQI) review project to assess its effectiveness in diagnosing depression.
