Joint Logistics 2010: Are We on the Right Track.

Abstract

This paper discusses joint doctrine, as relates to logistics and the operational level of war. The author examines the declining budget, its impact on force structure, and the resultant impact on joint and Service doctrine. Joint Vision 2010 and emerging joint logistics information management systems are reviewed from the perspective of lessons learned in Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm, and Operation Uphold Democracy.
