Abstract
The report documents the information presented at the Digest IEEE/LEOS 1996 Summer Topical Meetings. The conference was held 5-9 August 96 in Keystone, Colorado. The purpose of this symposium was to provide a professional forum for a broad exchange of information and ideals on advanced applications of lasers in materials processing. The symposium was supported from U.S. Army Research Office. In this symposium, topics include the fabrication of silicon solar cells by laser processing, epitaxial growing of refractory metal films by laser ablation deposition. In addition, photoluminescent and X ray analysis of laser deposited II-IV thin films and growth and film properties of amorphous silicon were also presented.
