Energy Engineering Analysis, Livorno Military Community, Volume 1 - Executive Summary

Abstract

This EEAP study was performed on three installations on USMCA Livorno: Camp Darby, Darby Depot, and Coltano. It analyzes the energy consumption patterns of calendar year 1980 and makes several recommendations concerning operations and energy use. The analysis made extensive use of BLAST and other energy analysis techniques including: (1) European energy price forecasts, (2) Weather tape transcription programs, and (3) Retention risk analysis. Significant energy wastes have been located on USMCA Livorno. A comprehensive energy management plan has been developed to save both energy and funds for USMCA Livorno. Projects under way in 1981 will achieve annual savings of 23.7 x 10 Btu and $182,000.
