Executive Summary: Energy Survey of Army Dining Facilities, Fort Carson, Colorado.

Abstract

This project consists of performing an energy survey on eight dining facilities located at Fort Carson, Colorado. During January 1989, the architectural, electrical, and HVAC systems for each dining hall were surveyed and evaluated. Energy Conservation Opportunities (ECOs) were developed, analyzed, and recommended based on information gathered during the surveys. Fort Carson can achieve an 18 percent reduction in energy use for these eight buildings with an annual savings of $18,085.00 if recommended ECOs are implemented.
