East Europe Report.

Abstract

JPRS publications contain information primarily from foreign newspapers, periodicals and books, but also from news agency transmissions and broadcasts. Materials from foreign-language sources are translated; those from English-language sources are transcribed or reprinted, with the original phrasing and other characteristics retained. This East Europe report, German Democratic Report, Romania, Bulgaria, Yugoslavia, and Czechoslovakia, contains articles on the Economy, Military, Political, and Social Issues. Some of the articles are Rocky Road to Socialist Morality Viewed; Civil Defense Emphasis on Industrial Accident Prevention; Status of Crafts, Trades at Beginning of New 5-Year Plan; and Developments in Inorganic Chemistry, Nonferrous Metallurgy.
