Characterization of CTL Recognized Epitopes on Human Breast Tumors

Abstract

Studies during the current granting period lead to the following major findings: (1) identification of a novel tumor Ag for breast and ovarian CTL from the folate binding protein (FBP) with a dominant HLA-A2-epitope E39 (FBP, 191-199); (2) identification of Th1 epitope from HER-2 that induces IFN-gamma preferentially when recognized in association with HLA-DR4; (3) establishment of approaches for (a) culture of breast TIL from small primary tumors and (b) HPLC fractionation and epitope reconstitution from breast tumors.
