FY98 Human Systems Technology Area Plan

Abstract

The Armstrong Laboratory is the Air Force laboratory uniquely positioned to engage a diverse and multi-disciplined technological arsenal to address the warfighter's human systems deficiencies. The capability of bringing to hear the full weight of physical, biological, biomedical, and behavioral sciences along with human factors engineering is now needed more than ever in the post Cold War era. Today, instead of facing a single massive threat, we are challenged with the potential for simultaneous multiple low intensity conflicts. Instead of a robust DoD budget, we are now faced with conducting both operations and acquisition in a fiscal climate that is highly resource constrained.
