FY98 Avionics Technology Area Plan.

Abstract

Global Engagement: A Vision for the 21st Century Air Force outlines the air and space core competencies which support the national security strategy, the successful pursuit of which requires the continued superiority of our aerospace systems. The widening variety of Air Force missions challenges these systems to be increasingly flexible, timely, and precise in their application. Wright Laboratory's Avionics Directorate is meeting this modernization challenge: Developing affordable avionics technology for superior global awareness, precision engagement, and full dimensional protection for America's air and space forces.
