Unexploded Ordnance (UXO) Reference Manual.
Abstract
The purpose of this publication is to: (1) outline the scope of the UXO problem; (2) present the basic types, characteristics, deployment methods, and hazards associated with UXO that may be found in the U.S.; (3) provide a resource directory of selected private, federal, and academic organizations that may provide UXO-related equipment and services; and (4) provide a limited list of UXO-related publications and conferences. This information is intended to facilitate communication between interested parties so that resources may be shared and the problems associated with UXO clearance can be bener addressed.
