Single Service Management for Small Arms

Abstract

This report describes the results of a study with the purpose to support the implementation of Single Service Management for small arms in the Dutch Defense Organization. Target is to reduce costs by co-operating in acquisition, maintenance and disposal between the land force, airforce, navy and military police. Based on the in the first stage agreed new starting points, solutions for the identified problem areas are presented. Topics have been grouped in the themes configuration management, logistics support, weapon registration and financial administration. Representatives of the armed services have agreed with new working methods and procedures.
