Seismic Recording Characterization of the Makanchi Observatory.

Abstract

This report results from a contract tasking Institute of Geophysical Research as follows: The contractor shall perform three primary tasks as described in the proposal. The contractor shall characterize seismic noise and measure the power spectral densities of the ambient ground noise at Makanchi. All measurements will be compared to the Peterson Low noise Model. Characterize seismic signals and analyze seismograms from large (mb>=5) earthquakes and explosions and characterize the recording site.
