Conceptual Reasoning and Defence Applications.

Abstract

This report presents details of a formal technique called conceptual reasoning. Conceptual reasoning is a knowledge representation and reasoning framework for multiple-agent belief revision. Because conceptual reasoning has a particular interest in dealing with contradiction and partial information, it lends itself to applications in Defense intelligence. We demonstrate the practical application of conceptual reasoning in a particular Defense Intelligence domain: multi-sensor fusion.
