Proposal for partial support of Symposium #532: Laser Control of Electrons and Molecules, at the 5th Chemical Congress of North America
Abstract
The purpose of this grant to provide partial support for Symposium #532 at the 5th Chemical Congress of North America, which was held Nov. 11-15, 1997, in Cancan, Mexico. The Chemical Congress is a major international meeting, co-sponsored by the Chemical Societies of Canada, Mexico and the USA. The title of Symposium #532 was 'Laser Control of Electronics and Molecules'. This was one of the most comprehensive and influential meetings of the year in the rapidly evolving field of quantum control. Twenty one scientists from Canada and the USA, representing both theory and experiment, presented invited talks at the Symposium.
