XX International Workshop on Condensed Matter Theories

Abstract

The primary theme of the workshops was Bose Einstein condensation. This phenomenon was extensively discussed for atomic gases and in liquid helium. Other topics include the theory of superconducting materials, recent development in density functional theory, quantum phase transitions, plasma waves in solids, and finite size scaling in Heisenberg model. The Workshop's other key objectives of facilitating interaction among physicists working in diverse areas of condensed matter physics, promoting interaction among physicists of developed and developing nations, cross fertilization of ideas and development of new interest have been fulfilled.
