Environmental Monitoring of Stored Ammunition in Kuwait, 1996.

Abstract

The U.S Army Defense Ammunition Center (DAC), Validation Engineering Division (SIOAC-DEV), was tasked by the U.S. Army Armament Research, Development and Engineering Center (ARDEC) to obtain temperature and humidity data of the ammunition storage conditions provided by MILVANs and above-ground magazines located in Kuwait. A total of 8 MILVANs and 7 magazines were instrumented at the ammunition supply point (ASP), approximately 50 kilometers south-southeast of Kuwait City. This report contains test results for MILVANs and above-ground magazines monitored January - December 1996.
