Preparation of Chemicals and Bulk Drug Substances for the U.S. Army Drug Development Program

Abstract

The purpose of the program was to provide chemical compounds for the U.S. Army Medical R & D Command. In the five years, a total of 58 compounds were delivered in 59 lots. Types of compounds delivered include substituted quinolines, pyridines, oxazolidines, N-arylpropenamides, carboxylic acids, disulfides, sulfones, thiols and thiol ethers, benzimidazoles, benzoxazoles, benzenesulfonyl chlorides and amides, L-cysteine esters, morphinan derivatives, plus four other structural types.
